Building maintenance technician

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Handle maintenance requests and perform the necessary repairs (painting, plastering, basic carpentry and joinery work, flooring, lock changes, etc.).
  • Adhere to the priorities, deadlines, and schedule established by the Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Maintain complete records of completed work (notes, photos, relevant information).
  • Be available for on-call duty outside of regular business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) according to the established schedule to respond to emergency calls.
  • Conduct regular building inspections and identify any anomalies or areas requiring intervention.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems (ventilation, heating, security, etc.).
  • Effectively manage the tools, equipment, and supplies required for interventions.
  • Maintain the company's quality standards in all interventions.
  • Strictly adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and, as needed, with external suppliers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of practices and the efficiency of maintenance operations.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Desired Profile:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in maintenance or repair.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and the ability to use internal management platforms (mobile application, time tracking system, email, etc.).
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, with clear and professional communication skills with tenants and teams.
  • Professional and positive attitude, with strong organizational skills, autonomy, and the ability to prioritize, as well as excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Practical and solution-oriented, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and intervene effectively.
  • Strong adaptability and versatility in handling different situations and types of interventions.

Salary: Starting at $28.00 per hour
